Thank you for opening your house to us

Thank you for opening your house to us. Four families made lots of memories this week! We laughed and played and enjoyed. We will be back.

    ~Capps Kantroily Family, Lews & Feltons 4/14/2023

    Breathtaking Views!

Breathtaking views! This house was perfect for our 4 families to come together & bond over our 4 boys graduating High School & leaving soon for college! Many memories made. The house was wonderful! We’d love to come back here & to beautiful Whistler!

    ~ The Kelly’s (Wilmington, NC, USA) 4/14/2023

What an incredible place to stay!

“What an incredible place to stay! We had a large group of four families and we never felt crowded. Great location to ski in and ski out! Just a very short drive to Creekside Village or Whistler Village. We were so fortunate to have found such the perfect spot for our family getaway! Thanks for having us!” -Ross Felton -April 8- April 14, 2023

Terrific house for a large party of skiers

“Terrific house for a large party of skiers. We were a total of 13 and there was more than enough room in the house, which is quite large. It's a true ski out location just steps from the garage and ski in right to the porch with the hot tub, which is big enough for 6-8. We watched the Super Bowl on the large screen TV in the living room and the dining table accommodated all of us. Lots of other amenities in the house (sauna, steam rooms) and plenty of hot water.” ~Tom Large February 8, 2023-February 15, 2023

    Perfect Experience at this Property...

“Our group had the perfect experience at this property. It was steps away from the ski-in area near the Creekside gondola. The house was massive with big windows and in a little corner slightly away from all the other houses. The hot tub, sauna, and views were all huge hits amongst our group. There were plenty of beds and space for our entire group. Would come back again.”- Alan Ly February 1, 2023-February 8, 2023

    An absolutely perfect house

“An absolutely perfect house in a perfect location. We had a group of 14 people and everyone loved the place. Couldn't ask for anything more!” Joshua Miller- January 7, 2023-January 14, 2023

    The house was huge....

The house was huge and had all the amenities one could want. The location could not have been better for a ski in ski out (fair warning the runs leading to the house are intermediate) but the Creekside gondola is a short hill down to go back up the mountain. It’s much quieter and less busy compared to the Whistler/Blackcomb village gondolas. A perfect house for 2-3 families with enough room for everyone to have their own space. Communication was immediate when we had an issue with a hot tub setting and fixed within an hour. Will stay here again!—Nicole Janson Reviewer location - seattle, wa Date of arrival - February 19, 2022

    Views This place was amazing.

February 2020 - Ski-in Ski-Out - Private Hot Tub – Robert said….Views This place was amazing. It is right on the slopes which made in so much easier to get going in the morning and get back in the afternoons. The living spaces of the house are totally decked out, very comfortable. A real treat. Hot tub and Sauna were a favorite for everyone after a long day skiing. So relaxing! The same amazing views out of the living room, dining room and a couple of the bedroom windows. Would absolutely put this on your short list of places to stay in the Whistler area.

    great house, great location!

Left on Jan 27, 2020 for a stay in Jan 2020 Stephen said……Perfect ski house for large group or multiple families. Lots of places to sleep, relax, entertain. Access to mountain is superb. Short drive to main village but great location away from the village.

    Our stay was fantastic!

January 2020, Chris says……Our stay was fantastic! The place was amazing. The thing we loved most was definitely the fact that we were literally steps from the slopes - we woke up every morning and ate breakfast, took a hot tub, and then were on the slopes. The house had everything you could want in a ski house - the hot tub and sauna, the boot and glove dryers in the garage, the balcony overlooking the mountains, a grill to cook meals, and the movie theatre for after a hard day of skiing! Really don't have any suggestions, everything was great. We will hopefully be back next year!

    Great Family Christmas!

December 2019 Michael M. said……Really nice property with more than enough space for our 10 person group. Great location at Creekside... was ski in/out even though the snow wasn’t the best. Will definitely look to rent again!

Great house for a large family

January 2020 Susan said……..We had all our kids & grandkids with us over New Years. It’s great we could all stay in one house with plenty of room. I especially loved all being able to eat at one table. Our grandkids loved the theater room & we all enjoyed the hot tub! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals at home. Wonderful trip, sad it’s time to head home.

Jan said…….Overall impression was really great -

December 2019 Jan said…….Overall impression was really great - we had 13 people easily and comfortably accommodated.  It was very nice to arrive with the fireplace on and hot tub hot. Kitchen was generously stocked with spices, etc., and towels, glass ware, etc..  The only suggestion is that the water pressure in the kitchen was weak, the hot tub seemed to lose heat the first two days (got in at 102 and it went to 99 within the half hour) then it was fine the last two days. You guys were very nice to deal with and always have been.

    Fantastic Views

August 2019 Cian said….. The property was fantastic. It was very spacious even with having 14 people there. I think our favorite part was the view from the hot tub area, that was truly something to remember. To be honest we really enjoyed our stay and can't think of anything we would change.

The Accommodations fit our Needs Perfectly

January 2018 Lisa said. . . . Our first impression of seeing the house, beyond the VRBO pictures, was WOW! The accommodations fit our needs perfectly. I’m a “newbie” to skiing and spending time here with friends from the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) inspired me to dream big. We laughed, ate, rested/rejuvenated, skied, snowmobiled, and delighted ourselves in all that we could while here. #gratefulheart #Allseasonsclub #Nationalbrotherhoodofskiers

    Great stay, great hosts!

March 2019 Forrest A. said….Great stay, great hosts! Huge house, right off the ski slopes. 0 minute walk to Lower Dave Murray (note this is a black diamond, although a well groomed one that should likely be a blue). You can also ski off from a blue if you’d like. House is great with tons of bedrooms and bathrooms. Awesome hot tub! Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful house with huge space and special views

    December 2018
Wonderful house with huge space and special views of Whistler Creekside. Vehicle highly recommended. 5 minutes to Creekside gondola, 10 minutes to Whistler village by car. Our family group of 11 were very comfortable and the house could have easily accommodated more. Many thanks Jim et al for an unforgettable time!

Awesome Rental Home with Courteous Management Team

June, 2018 We loved this property. The pictures were accurate and group managing this place were receptive and very quick to respond with any questions we had prior to our arrival. We had a large party of 15 people and the size of the house didn't make it feel like we had this many in the house at all. Very spacious and clean. I personally loved the movie room as after a grueling day on the mountain bike park I relaxed watching some of my favorite movies. Hot tub was a nice perk as well and the views were stunning. Location was perfect. Definitely will be back! Michael M

This house is amazing for lots of reasons

    July, 2018

This house is amazing for lots of reasons. We came here for my husband to do the Ironman 2018. It hosted my entire family with more than enough blankets, pillows, towels and dishes. This is a great location that is walking distance to the 99 which is where we cheered my husband on the bike portion if the race, we were able to see him pass 6 times! I think it would be great in the winter too, very cozy! I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful vacation in this lovely home

    March, 2018

We had a wonderful vacation in this lovely home. It is the most equipped home we have been to, There is all you need; comfortable rooms, two laundry rooms, fully equiped kitchen, etc. Beautiful views throughout the house. The cinemas was a plus with our kids, a big hit!

We would come back to again!

    March, 2018

Was a beautiful subby day, the snow coverage on most of the mountain was great. There are pockets of powder to be found in the Harmony area and many others. There were very small lift lines in a general sense of happiness among person on the mountain!

3/8 It is snowing now as I write this and there is a hope for more to come tomorrow. I have met a surprising amount of people who have moved here for the ski season. Biggest population of foreigners and Aussies! Maybe they outnumber locals? Next maybe are Germans. (I heard yesterday there were more Aussies).

3/10 This mountain is organized on many levels. We were impressed with the markers but it soon became evident why they were here. We think this would be a great mountain for spring skiing. I would come back to Whistler to ski. The epic pass is what got me here, the Tachs 15 worked well for our group of friends and family. My son Josh organized. We traveled from near and far and people came and left.

    Fantastic

    February, 2018

We had 8 adults and it all worked out great for us. The house is close enough to Whistler Village but also far enough away from it. We walked down by the #12 unit to ski down to the lift, very easy. The house is very nice and spacious, we used the fully stocked kitchen for most of our meals and the Theater room was used extensively. We would definitely book again, thanks.

We have had a great time in your home

    January, 2018

We have had a great time in your home, it fit our needs to a "T'. I don't know how often you get out here to your home but if you check the October issue of Powder Magazine you have at your home, you will see the story of NBS (Pg 70) and a picture of 3 of the 8 people who stayed at your home. On page 75, the 3 gentlemen in the middle are Conrad, Michael and Gary, the latter two on monoskis.

    House was great again

    January 2018

House was great again this year and very pleasurable renting from you. Wish we could return next year but some of the group needs to spend next Christmas with other relatives so we will probably not return to Whistler. The house is very well equipped which makes it easy and has all the facilities.

    We had a great week

    A Most Excellent Ski House

    March, 2017

Very large, comfortable house with all the amenities we could want, and pretty easy access to great skiing. Plenty of room for all 10 of us to stretch out and do our own thing if desired. Our 4 teenagers enjoyed the home theater and the large selection of movies. The kitchen is well-equipped. However, I am picky about kitchen knives; I couldn't find a sharp one there. We used the 2 crockpots for EZ dinners several times. The only aspect that could be improved is the ski-in, ski-out access. Access in both directions were a bit challenging for beginner-intermediate skiers with the spring snow conditions.

We love coming to your house for a ski vacation! Our friend group really enjoys being so close to the mountain. Thanks for everything!

Rented out this amazing ski in/ski out mountain chalet with several couples. The mountain, if you have never been there, is HUGE. 6 days straight of skiing and we did not hit all of the runs. The home easily slept all 10 of us, there is a great hot tub for soaking, and the location is literally right off the slopes. They call it the "5 step rule" I hear, which means 5 steps into the house or out to the slopes. Definitely makes everybody appreciate things after a hard day of skiing/boarding.

    Wonderful house, Great Views

    January, 2017

The house is great. There are 2 spots to park in the garage and 2 in front of it. There is a steep road to the house but we made it fine using mini vans. The inside was great. 6 bedrooms plus a den upstairs. The sauna was great for relaxing after a day on the hill. We loved the house and it was perfect for our family of 15. Great place.

    Great house

    Dec 2016

This is a great house. Well stocked with the staples etc. The large size of the house is a particular selling point. No cramped feeling with the number of people it sleeps. It is a great ski in/ski out location, however I will mention one fact not mentioned in the other comments: it is not ski in/ski out for total beginners. The Dave Murray run it accesses is a relatively easy, groomed expert, and it is also possible to access the house from an intermediate run. Beginning intermediates should not have any problem. You do not need to be an expert to ski in. However, a total beginner, someone snow plowing on green runs, may have difficulty skiing in. Could probably handle ski out since it is not far to the lift.

We have visited Whistler before and stayed in this property. It is well maintained, comfortable and functional, particularly for large groups. It comes well-supplied with everything necessary for a great stay. This year was definitely the best ever.

    Special home in spectacular place

    August, 2016

My family and friends had the best time at this vacation home. We loved the hot tub views over the valley, hiking from the house and the great home theater. We eat and drank which lead to fun storytelling. This home is special to us the 10 of us women as we had the space to be alone along with all amenities to cook, relax and play together. Can't wait to go back next summer. Recommended for: Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers

    Awesome House!!!

    March, 2016

We had a group of 10 and this house was perfect for us!!! Was so easy to be able to ski-in and ski-out, which makes it very convenient for large groups. The owners had a big plate of cheeses, coldcuts and cookies waiting for us in the fridge when we got there, which we all thought was a really nice touch as everyone was hungry from traveling. All of the amenities worked great and they all got used regularly. The house was really spacious and fit all of us very comfortably. The beds were all comfortable and the robes were a nice touch as well! Our group loves to cook and having a fully stocked kitchen was really nice. The movie room was really cool and worked great. Overall, we were completely pleased with our experience and will definitely be staying here again! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Adventure Seekers

    Great Experience

    March, 2016

The home is beautiful, with more like 7 bedrooms than 6 (very small 1 person upper floor bedroom). Great directions and no problem getting in. When we arrived there was a tray of cheese/meats, crackers, and another tray of cookies to welcome us. The home is truly ski in/ski out. There's nothing like skiing directly up to the hot tub after a long day! Everyone was very pleased we chose this spot. Only 7 minutes to Whistler Village and only a 5 minute ski or drive down to Creekside. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Age 55+, Families with Teenagers

    Absolutely Fabulous

    February, 2016

This home is absolutely fabulous. We had no problem figuring out how to relax and enjoy our ski vacation. There was plenty of space and a great kitchen and incredible ski access to the Creekside gondola area. We were very pleased with the beautiful setting and the accuracy of the information on the website. They had a very nice informational book that told us about things to do in and around the area for those of us did not ski. We love that we could use Wi-Fi throughout the house and the incredible selection of TV channels. The ski in ski out access was so convenient we are wondering if we will be able to find ski in ski out at other resorts, since we are now spoiled. We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this home. Highly recommended.

A fantastic ski getaway (even if you don't want to ski)

    January, 2016

I've just come back to reality from Whistler and I want to go back already! I don't even ski but staying in such a comfortable home, I really don't mind and I never got bored. They've thought of everything so it's got the special touches of a luxury hotel with the comforts and privacy of being in a house of your own. The location is super convenient, surrounded by magnificent views and allowing for ski-in, ski-out. The skiers in our group came back every afternoon energized (and tired) by their day on the slopes. After a soak in the hot tub, we took turns cooking a great meal every night, after which we hung out by the fire. On the practical side, it's great not having to share a bathroom. Who wants to do that on vacation? I have rented many times through VRBO and I would recommend this property without hesitation, and I can't wait to go back. Unbelievable spectacular place for a vacation

    December, 2015

This Whistler vacation home was beyond our expectations. The service that was provided in booking this home was a very simple and friendly. The home itself everything we needed and more. We enjoyed relaxing in the Jacuzzi overlooking the valley and watching the skiers Pass by as we relaxed. The media room was such a great place to hang out after a long day of skiing and preparing the feasts in the fabulous kitchen. We would highly recommend this home to anybody looking for an incredible luxury vacation with the family and friends.

This home is awesome. All 12 of us can't wait to go back. The movie room rocked with a great screen and sound system. The views are breathtaking of the vast valley below. The ski in ski out access is lots of fun and so nice to not have to drive anywhere or walk. This is a unique place in Whistler as it has it all. Thanks the awesome home.

On top of the world and a top notch vacation home

    October, 2015

The views from this home are absolutely breathtaking! There was nothing better than having a cold beverage on the deck of this beautiful home as we overlooked the serene Whistler Valley during our short stay at this home. There was plenty of room for our family reunion of 12 people. Everybody had their own bedroom and plenty of room. We loved that we could all sit around the dinner table at same time, telling stories and lies; when it was time for a little "quiet time", the media room was a great place to go and hide to watch some of the incredible selection of movies they had for us. The kids in particular loved the media room with the great screen and sound! We would totally recommend this great rental and hope to return for some great skiing in the future!!

    Amazing Ski in Ski Out

    April, 2015

My family and I went to Taluswood on a Family Holiday. We had an amazing time. The home is great for big families. It was like a home away from home. It was very clean when we arrived and the nice welcome details left us really awed. Communication with the owner was facilitated very easily and they even sent me a text during our trip to confirm that everything was running smoothly. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a great and quiet place to stay. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

    BEST HOUSE EVER!

    March, 2015

All I can say is if you are looking for a place in Whistler, BC then stop searching and book this place now. The house alone was so impressive that I actually decided to not ski/snowboard and just relax at the house. I went with 8 of my best friends and the house was much larger than we expected and everyone felt so at home. The location was perfect and while the conditions were not ideal we definitely could walk 20 feet to a run. I can only imagine how it would be with full snow. The property owners were incredible and were responsive to any of my questions or concerns. This is the only place I will stay in whistler from now on.

So many upgrades and heated garage, steam room sauna etc etc.. We hope to land here for every trip to Whistler. ++++++ Cheers! Recommended for: Adventure Seekers

Taluswood is the gold medal of all

    March 14, 2014

We were treated like Olympians from the time we booked our reservation all the way until our final survey. This vacation home in Whistler has a reputation for where many of the medal winning Olympic skiers hung out in 2010. There is no doubt why after spending a week here. The access to the slopes, the amenities in the kitchen, the theater and the bedrooms are exquisite. We would highly recommend this home as a place for you to spend your vacation. This place is gorgeous.

Amazing luxury home-away-from home with easy access to slopes!

    February, 2014

My friends and I rented this home for our stay on a ski trip to Whistler Blackcomb. There were fifteen of us and we had a really, nice, comfortable stay. There is plenty of space, the lodgings are easy to reach and you have convenient access to ski in and out. I would only caution that you should be comfortable with a moderate slope. The trail is a black diamond and is definitely tricky as a means of return for those not comfortable on such a slope, but beginners who have had a lesson and some practice should be okay skiing out. For those not comfortable with skiing in and out, the lifts aren't too far away if you keep a vehicle with you during your stay. We found the location very convenient for short trips to pick up groceries during our stay or ordering takeout. The kitchen was perfect for our evening adventures in cooking large meals for 15. All in all, it was a very nice place to stay and the rental management staff were extremely nice and helpful when were booking our stay. We highly recommend this rental home if you are staying at Whistler and hope to return in the future!

    Absolutely amazing property!

    January 28, 2014

This house is awesome. It is enormous and has every amenity anyone could possibly need. The ski in/out location is great but not recommended for beginners. (This could have been due to lack of snow fall during our stay though.) Transportation is also highly recommended. We used our rental car a lot and had no trouble getting around. It was a great experience and highly recommended to all large groups of any age. The rental agreement and process was incredibly smooth. We did not have any trouble finding or accessing anything. We pulled up to the driveway and immediately started enjoying the house. January, 2014

We rented this home for my husband's 40th birthday. We had 13 other people from around the country meet us here and stay in the home with us. Everyone was very impressed with the home and location and we had a wonderful time. The home comfortably slept 15. The ski-in ski-out was awesome. It was so nice to ski home at the end of the day and soak in the hot tub. We also enjoyed the sauna, steam room, and movie theatre! We would highly recommend and will likely stay there again.

Breathtaking views and a well-designed vacation home for skiiers

    March, 2013

The vacation was easy to organize, ski out was easy; ski in a little tougher. Loved the incredible views of the valley, and excellent service. We liked best the hot tub on the deck, convenient to the main living area. We liked least that the kitchen knives were dull. The home layout worked well for our family that included a range of ages: 1-year-old baby, to us older grandparents.

Luxurious Home in a Great Location

    August 3, 2012

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful chalet. Everything in this luxurious home exceeds our expectation. The view, the amenities, the level of comfort make our experience a memorable one. The kitchen is well equipped and well stocked with condiments. One thing we would suggest is that blinds be installed for the window in the living room. I understand the desire to let people enjoy the million dollar view, but on a bright sunny day, the lack of blinds or curtains makes the unit very hot. Other than this, the place is perfect for a group vacation, and it certainly tops my list of all the vacation home that I have been to in Whistler. Wonderful time in Whistler

    June 24, 2012

Our family had a wonderful time in Whistler. The place has a great location at the end of the street and the house was exceptional for our large group. We got to see some wildlife, including this bear who liked to graze on the slope. However, one day he stuck his head onto the hot tub patio. Our photographer was so surprised she could not hold the camera steady! We totally enjoyed our vacation and this place contributed a lot to that.

The scenery was magnificent; the house is high up on the mountain and you can see the whole valley to the east of the house. Also there were bears and there cubs which was a beautiful site too see as well. The house itself is very roomy and well decorated with pictures and artifacts. The hotub on the deck next to the barbeque is a great place to relax and hang out with friends and family. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to enjoy a weekend in whistler. BEST SKI IN SKI OUT=---AMAZING HOUSE

    March 10, 2012

Can't say enough about how amazing this home is. We have stayed here every year for the past 7 years and would not stay any where else. We are usually around 9 adults and 5 children and no one is ever on top of each other. There is so much room. The kitchen is stocked with EVERYTHING....all the way down to 3 crock pots for those meals that you want to have ready after a long day of skiing. We stayed at another location the year of the Olympics (not by choice but because of the amazing location of this property it was rented out the entire olympics) and while the other property was nice it did not have the room or all the amenities of this property. Trust me, I have researched all the properties in Whistler and nothing compares to the location, the amenities, or the management staff of this property. August, 2011

The pictures really didn't do this place justice. It's huge, with tons of sleeping space and bathrooms. Spectacular views all around. We met the owner of the place next door and he was very friendly as well. House was clean with a well equipped kitchen, plenty of blankets, comfortable couches, new hottub and a big surprise of a steam room, which we named the grotto. We decided that if we need a luxurious/large place in whistler, we wouldn't look anywhere else, because we would probably be disappointed. I actually hesitated to submit this review, because I'd rather keep this place all to myself! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Families with Teenagers

    Winter Vacation

    June 9, 2011

My family and I had a fantastic time at Taluswood at Whistler. The parents enjoyed the in suite rooms. The kids loved the hot tub and media room. I liked the steam shower and sauna. Everything went off without a hitch, and we will all take away the memories of watching a two year old black bear wander back and forth in front of the amazing view window in the living room. I will definitely be back in the winter to try out the "five step rule."

    June, 2011

We stayed here with my entire family for my parents 50th anniversary. This house worked very well for our group with the three ensuited bedrooms. The home is well appointed and we were able to cook and feed a large group with no difficulty. We were not there during ski season to enjoy the ski in and ski out access to Whistler. The garage parking was beautiful. The main feature window was perfect to watch a young bear cub feeding on the berries. The decks hot tub was great and would be an even better perk after a day skiing. The steam shower and sauna were very nice to socialize with. The media room was a hit with the teenagers and adults in our group. This property has everything you could ask for in luxury accommodations.

Life Styles of the Very Fortunate!

    March, 2011

My wife and I have been fortunate enough to vacation at this home three times now. To say it is well appointed is the understatement of the year. This lovely home is less like a vacation rental, and more like house-sitting for your very fortunate family member. The owners have thought of everything one (well, twelve or more, actually) could possibly want for a vacation home. From the bathrobes (one for everyone!) to the heated floors in the bathrooms; the granite, cave-like steam room or the dry cedar-sauna next to it, the comfortable, hug-you rockers in the theatre room the fully equipped kitchen, the hot tub and the views from it; the comfortable beds...I could go on and on. Suffice to say, you will want for nothing while staying here. We had the good fortune of viewing a gorgeous, huge bear foraging in the grass in Spring (from the safety of the master bedroom’s porch) and then to our disbelief, a lone wolf crossed the bear’s path! They gave their silent acknowledgement of each other and went on their merry ways, while we stood there in disbelief! Another visit, a raccoon stole away with a loaf of bread that had been left outside. We all got a good show that evening, watching the raccoon chow down the loaf that was to be served with dinner, from the closed cover of the hot tub, as if a stage. You will have it all here: Wildlife and wild fun!! THIS is the house you want to rent!!! (Oh, yeah... and of course the skiing is fantastic!) We really enjoyed the spectacular views from all of the rooms, especially the living and dining rooms in the morning over breakfast and at night during dinner. My husband is a chef and he did not want for anything in the large kitchen. Our family really enjoyed all the fantastic amenities like the spa, steam room, sauna, and theater room. The last run of the day was the Dave Murray Downhill and we all loved being able to ski up to the back door and the "5 step rule." Thanks for recommending Athena, the massage therapist. She came to the house during the middle of our vacation and massaged our sore ski muscles, she was great! The hot tub, steam room and sauna were just the ticket for relaxing after a hard day on the slopes or to get you going in the morning. We made good use of the cinema room and wanted for nothing during our stay. In fact, we were so comfortable here we rarely ventured out in the evenings. The best skiing in the world!!! This has been the best snow boarding trip yet. Will be back again!
